Generate receipts from the queue

1. Select the records

Select one row, or several. The selection can mix donations, pledges and pledge payments: Mich reads each row's type and merges it against the right template.

2. Generate

Click Generate. Each record is merged against your template and written to the receipt output folder, and the rows leave the queue.

What generation does

• Merges the record into your Word template, filling the merge fields with the donor, the gift and your organization's details.
• Writes the file into the output folder, filed by year and document type if you have those options on.
• Leaves the document as a draft. Generating is not issuing.

In-kind gifts are merged against the in-kind template rather than the cash one. A cash template would print a zero amount for a gift of goods, which is why they are kept apart.
