Keep a donor off donor-facing output while still counting their gift.
Some donors ask not to be named. Anonymous is a flag on the gift, not a way of leaving the donor blank.
Still choose the donor. Mich needs to know whose gift it is; the flag controls only how it is presented.

Recording the gift against the real donor is what keeps their giving history complete, which is what makes your retention figures honest. Leaving the donor blank instead would quietly corrupt both.
