Set the currency and locale every amount in Mich is stored and displayed in.
Do this before you record any money. Currency affects how every amount is stored, not only how it is displayed, so changing it later is not simply a relabelling.
Pick the entry (A) matching your country. Mich ships fourteen, and the choice sets both the symbol and the formatting conventions: which separator marks thousands, where the symbol sits, and how many decimal places apply.
That last point matters more than it looks. Currencies do not all have two decimal places; yen and won have none. Mich stores every amount in the currency's smallest unit, so a yen figure is whole yen rather than a hundredth of one, and the arithmetic stays exact either way.
