Read the audit log

Mich keeps a permanent record of everything consequential that happens to your data.

Where it is

Go to About, then the Audit tab.

What is recorded

It cannot be edited or cleared

That is the whole point. A log you can tidy up proves nothing. This one is read-only from inside the application, which is what makes it worth having when you need to show what happened and when.

Two things it deliberately does not do:

• Secrets are never recorded. API keys, passwords and license keys are logged as having changed, never as values.
• Failed unlock attempts are not recorded. The database is encrypted, so a wrong password never opens it, and nothing can be written to a file that was never opened. Only successful unlocks appear.

Export it

Export CSV writes the log to a file for an accountant, an auditor, or your own records.
